Every year, the Bavarian Dementia Fund awards prizes for scientific work that deals with practical issues to improve the lives of people with dementia and their relatives.
This form can be submitted electronically (e.g. via a secure contact form using your user account with login via the electronic ID function or the ELSTER certificate) or handwritten and signed in paper form to the responsible authority.
The aim of the Bavarian Dementia Fund is to support people with dementia who live at home and their relatives in particular, to enable them to participate in the various phases of dementia and to establish and expand dementia-sensitive communities.
Prizes can be awarded annually for academic work, such as Bachelor's or Master's theses as well as dissertations or post-doctoral theses. The aim is to generate practical findings to improve the lives of those affected and their relatives.
Prize winners can be authors who, as part of their scientific work, deal with practical issues to improve the lives of people with dementia living at home and their relatives.
The prizes each consist of a certificate and a cash prize of EUR 1,000. Up to three prizes are awarded per year.

Applications for an award for a scientific paper must be submitted by e-mail only. The forms provided must be used.

The deadline for applying to be a prizewinner in any given year is December 31 of the previous year.
The award is made without legal entitlement within the framework of the available budget funds.
Administrative court action
With the Bavarian Dementia Fund, the Free State of Bavaria supports services for the participation of people with dementia and their relatives as well as programs to strengthen dementia-sensitive communities.
