On the internet portal "My educational path" (see "Further links"), an information graphic in various languages explains the entire, diversely structured school system in Bavaria.
On the other hand, pupils, parents and teachers can interactively find out how the individual educational path of a pupil in Bavaria can develop and what opportunities are available at each junction.
The Bavarian education system is often described as tripartite. The information graphic shows that there are many more types of schools and routes to a qualification. This is why we have to speak of a diversely structured Bavarian education system. It comprises 13 core school types. They offer 19 ways to achieve a school-leaving qualification: Mittelschulabschluss (2), mittlerer Schulabschluss (9) and Hochschulreife (8).
