Procedure details

Land consolidation is an instrument for the sustainable development of the local cultural landscape. The aim is to improve production and working conditions in agriculture and forestry, maintain and improve the performance and functionality of the ecosystem, protect natural resources (soil, water, air) and support the necessary expansion and upgrading of infrastructure. Land readjustment can also reconcile economic and ecological interests in the cultural landscape.

The Rural Development Offices offer technical, organizational, legal and financial support. This enables the comprehensive reorganization of land ownership, the implementation of construction and design measures, traffic development and improvement of infrastructure, water management measures, measures for leisure and recreation as well as measures for soil protection, nature conservation and land management to be implemented. Land consolidation strengthens economic power and improves the structure of the rural area as a place to live, work, recreate and enjoy nature.

Land consolidation requires the initiation of a procedure in accordance with the Land Consolidation Act.
