A registration certificate about your place of residence and possibly other data is required for a variety of everyday matters.
Upon request, the registration authority where you are registered with a residence will issue you with a written or electronic registration certificate.
The registration certificate always contains your surname, first name with the common first name, doctor's degree, date of birth and current addresses, categorized according to main and secondary residence.

In addition to the registration certificate, the official registration confirmation also serves as proof of residence. This is issued when registering or deregistering. It only contains data on the surname and first name, doctor's degree, date of birth, address, date of moving in or out and the date of registration or deregistration. The confirmation of registration also states whether it is your sole, main or secondary residence. You cannot apply for an official confirmation of registration.
