If you have a residence permit from a member state of the European Union (EU) for the purpose of intra-corporate transfer, you can use it to enter Germany for a certain period of time and work there.
If you are not a national of an EU member state, you do not necessarily need a German residence permit to work here.
As part of EU mobility, you can enter Germany with a residence permit from an EU member state for the purpose of intra-corporate transfer and work for a certain period of time. You do not need another residence permit for this. Exception: Ireland and Denmark
You will receive the residence permit in the form of an ICT card (intro-corporate transfer). The ICT card is issued to you by the country in which you spend most of your transfer period. With the ICT card issued to you by another EU member state, you can work in a German branch of your company. You can work in Germany for a period of 180 days up to 90 days.
The host company must notify the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) of your stay beforehand. The BAMF will issue a certificate of entitlement to enter and stay within the framework of EU mobility.

The host company in Germany must inform the BAMF of your stay before you enter the country. The notification may only be made by the company. The company can submit the notification online.

The notification must be made as soon as the intention of an intra-company transfer to a branch in the federal territory is known and must be received in full before the transferred employee enters the federal territory. If mobility is not refused within 20 days of receipt of the complete notification, the Federal Office will issue a certificate of authorization to enter and stay for the purpose of the intra-company transfer.

If you have a residence permit from a member state of the European Union (EU) for study purposes, you can use it to enter Germany for a certain period of time and study there. You do not need a German residence permit.
