In digital radio for public safety authorities and organizations (BOS), terminals from various manufacturers are used. To ensure that these terminals are compatible with all network components and with each other, you may only use terminals certified by the Federal Agency for the Digital Radio of Authorities and Organizations with Security Tasks (BDBOS).

The BDBOS has defined performance characteristics in the interoperability guidelines (IOP guidelines) that all terminals must fulfill. Compliance with these defined performance characteristics is confirmed by a corresponding certificate.

If you as the manufacturer make changes to an already certified terminal device or distribute these devices, you must report this to the BDBOS immediately. This also applies if the changes do not affect the legal requirements.
