Procedure details

The task of the Rural Development Administration, which is part of the State Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry, is to contribute to the integrated sustainable development and safeguarding of the future of rural communities and regions as independent and diverse living spaces. Rural development procedures and projects are used to

  • support agriculture and forestry in a future-oriented manner,
  • sustainably strengthen rural communities and thus secure vital rural areas,

Depending on the task at hand, the instruments of rural development (integrated rural development, community development, village renewal, land consolidation, rural road and path construction, voluntary land exchange, voluntary exchange of use) are applied with varying degrees of intensity in a needs-based and targeted manner.
