Description
An application for admission to the master gardener examination is required. The examination is carried out separately for each specialty.
Responsible are:
a) in the fields of ornamental horticulture, perennial horticulture and cemetery horticulture
- the technical college for agriculture, specializing in horticulture, Landshut-Schönbrunn, for the administrative districts of Upper Bavaria, Lower Bavaria, Upper Palatinate and Swabia
- the technical college for agriculture, specializing in horticulture, Veitshöchheim, for the administrative districts of Upper Franconia, Middle Franconia and Lower Franconia
b) in the field of horticulture, the technical college for agriculture, specializing in horticulture, Fürth
c) in the fields of tree nursery and fruit growing, the technical college for agriculture, specializing in horticulture, Veitshöchheim
d) in the field of horticulture and landscaping
- the technical college for agriculture, specializing in horticulture and landscaping, Landshut-Schönbrunn, for the administrative districts of Upper Bavaria, Lower Bavaria, Upper Palatinate and Swabia

Requirements
- Certificate of a passed final examination in an agricultural training occupation
- Proof of at least two years of practical experience in horticulture
Fees
The registration fee for the exam is 350 €.
Deadlines
Applications for admission to the master gardener examination must be submitted annually to the office responsible for the respective master gardener examination. Different deadlines apply depending on the specialty. These can be obtained from the relevant authorities.

If the objection has no suspensive effect, an application for suspension of enforcement can be made to the original authority or the objection authority in accordance with Section 80 (4) VwGO. Instead, an application for an order or restoration of the suspensive effect of the objection can be made to the competent Bavarian Administrative Court in accordance with Section 80 (5) VwGO.
Please note: If it concerns the demand for public charges and costs (§ 80 Para. 2 Sentence 1 No. 1 VwGO), an application to the court is generally only admissible if the authority has previously rejected an application for suspension of enforcement (§ 80 Para. 6 VwGO).
