Upon application, the responsible government can recognize other successfully completed training or successfully completed parts of training to the extent of their equivalence up to two thirds of the duration of training to become a nursing specialist (see Section 12 Para. 1 PflBG).
According to Section 12 (2) of the Nursing Professions Act (PflBG), training that meets the "Key points for training for assistant and helper professions in nursing" (BAnz AT 17.02.2016 B3), which were adopted as minimum requirements by the Conference of Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs in 2012 and the Conference of Ministers of Health in 2013, can be credited to one third of the training in accordance with Section 6 (1) sentence 1 PflBG upon request.
You can have a school/professional qualification in nursing assistance acquired abroad checked for equivalence with the Bavarian vocational training for "Nursing assistant (geriatric care)" or "Nursing assistant (nursing)".
