The District Administrator executes the resolutions of the district council and the committees. He/she makes use of the staff and facilities of the district administration office to carry out administrative tasks. If he/she is personally involved, his/her deputy shall act on his/her behalf.
If the district administrator considers resolutions of the district council or the committees to be unlawful, he/she must object to them, suspend their execution and - if necessary - obtain a decision from the legal supervisory authority.
As a rule, a resolution cannot have any external effect unless it is implemented by the district administrator or the person appointed and authorized by him/her.
