Training to become a masseur or medical bath attendant consists of a two-year course and 6 months of practical work. After passing the state examination, this prescribed practical work must be carried out in hospitals or other suitable medical facilities such as rehabilitation clinics or medical practices. These must be authorized to accept such interns.
In addition to the training course, the practical activity should contribute to the achievement of the training objective by applying suitable physical therapy procedures in prevention, curative medicine, rehabilitation and in the spa sector to help heal and alleviate, to restore or improve the ability to work and earn a living, to promote healthy behavior and to the success of the cure.
To obtain such authorization, the facility must meet the following requirements:
50 € to 80 € plus any expenses incurred for the involvement of a health authority
