As a surviving dependant, you will receive a settlement from the statutory accident insurance instead of a pension if you remarry or enter into a new civil partnership.
As a widow or widower and registered partner, you will receive a survivor's pension from the statutory accident insurance in the event of death as a result of an insured event.
If you remarry as a surviving dependant or enter into a new registered civil partnership, the surviving dependant's pension granted will be settled.
You will receive 24 times your monthly pension as a settlement.
The calendar months worked as part of a survivor's pension with a fixed term in advance will be offset against the settlement amount.
If you have already received a pension settlement on remarriage or a new registered civil partnership and your marital status has changed again, please contact your employer's liability insurance association or accident insurance fund. They will advise you on possible benefit entitlements.
If you receive a survivor's pension from your employer's liability insurance association or accident insurance fund, you must state that you have remarried or are in a new civil partnership.
