Successful completion of the fishing exam is a prerequisite for obtaining a fishing license. To take the fishing examination, you must register for the online examination, pay the examination fee and take part in a preparatory course.

Anyone wishing to take the fishing exam must register for the online exam in advance, pay the exam fee and take part in a preparation course. Furthermore, the applicant must have reached the age of 12 on the day of the exam.
Costs for the preparation course can be obtained from the respective course instructors and can be paid after registering for the online examination via the link provided under "Online procedure".

The participant must register before attending the preparatory course. The participant number generated in the process is passed on to the course instructor. As soon as the examination fee has been booked in the system and the 30 compulsory hours of a preparatory course have been entered in the system, the participant can register for an examination.
The fishing levy is used exclusively to promote fishing.
The fishing license is a lifelong proof of qualification that is a prerequisite for the holder to be allowed to fish.
