The Free State of Bavaria supports companies in research and development projects in the field of digitalization and information and communication technology.
The funding is intended to support companies in research and development projects in the field of digitalization and information and communication technology and to improve and accelerate their implementation in new products, services and business processes.
The funding covers the following topics and issues in particular:
Cross-cutting issues such as reliability, robustness, quality assurance procedures, etc. are also covered.
Research and development projects aimed at solving the above-mentioned issues in the following areas are eligible for funding
in accordance with Art. 25 (1) in conjunction with (2) (b) and (c) of the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER).
Eligible applicants are
Preference will be given to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as defined in Annex I of the GBER.
Applicants must have sufficient creditworthiness to carry out the project and provide evidence of this if necessary.
The eligible costs are determined in detail in accordance with Art. 25 GBER.
The R&D projects must be carried out in close cooperation between several companies or between companies and research institutions (joint projects). Several companies should cooperate along a value chain. At least two companies, including at least one medium-sized company and, if applicable, a university or non-university research institution, should be involved in a joint project.
Further requirements are
:The application must be submitted in writing to the project management organization (see under "Responsible for you"), which prepares the basis for the decision. Approval is granted by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
