Teachers can register pupils for information days organized by the Bavarian State Agency for Civic Education, such as "Lernort Staatsregierung", to experience politics on site.
The "Lernort Staatsregierung" information day gives pupils in Bavaria the opportunity to find out about the tasks and working methods of the Bavarian state government on site. The aim is to give young people an "on-the-spot" insight into where politics is made and how the political decision-making process works. Discussions with senior civil servants and, where possible, with members of the Bavarian cabinet will help to promote interest in the state and government action.
The program is open to the 9th and 10th grades of secondary schools (including special schools, if applicable), the 10th grades of intermediate schools, business schools and grammar schools, as well as courses from the 11th and 12th grades of grammar schools.
Interested classes from technical and vocational secondary schools and other vocational schools can also apply for a visit to the Bavarian State Government.
In principle, any school can apply for a date in any school year. When submitting an informal application, preferred/excluded periods, departmental preferences and class size must be stated.
The Bavarian State Center for Political Education and other Bavarian educational institutions provide a wide range of information, lectures, workshops and training courses on various topics of political education.
