The employer must involve the Inclusion Office if services from the Inclusion Office in the form of accompanying assistance are considered in the context of company integration management for severely disabled or equivalent persons.
This form can be submitted electronically (e.g. via a secure contact form using your user account with login via the electronic ID function or the ELSTER certificate) or handwritten and signed in paper form to the responsible authority.
Company integration management is a preventative measure to (permanently) secure the jobs of employees with severe disabilities and employees with equivalent status. Its implementation is the responsibility of the employer.

The employer must first contact the employee concerned. The consent and involvement of the employee is required for all subsequent steps. In addition, the works or staff council and - in the case of severely disabled employees - the representative body for severely disabled employees must be consulted. If services from the Inclusion Office in the form of accompanying assistance are considered for severely disabled or equivalent persons, the employer must also involve the Inclusion Office in this process.
Other company partners, such as the company medical service or external assistance, such as the Integration Specialist Service (IFD), form a team for the work in individual cases.

If an employee is unfit for work for more than six weeks without interruption or repeatedly within a year, the employer will carry out a company integration management procedure (BEM procedure) with the employee's consent.

If difficulties arise that could jeopardize the working or employment relationship with a severely disabled person, employers must involve the Inclusion Office at an early stage.
