At the request of the contracting states in Bavaria, the government of the Upper Palatinate delivers documents (in particular fines imposed for traffic offenses committed abroad) to the respective addressees.
The Government of the Upper Palatinate also processes requests for administrative assistance from the contracting states in Bavaria.
The aforementioned services from other agreements are partially modified or supplemented with regard to Austria.
Proceedings
Requests for service and administrative assistance from abroad are examined with regard to their formal requirements.
If the requirements for the service of administrative documents in accordance with the international conventions are met, this will be carried out in accordance with the provisions on the formal service procedure applicable in Germany. The requesting foreign authority receives the corresponding proof of service.
The content of the claims asserted will not be examined by the authority responsible for service. In this respect, objections or legal remedies are to be lodged exclusively with the requesting foreign authority
