If you have been required by the Central Information Office to supply infrastructure data, you can submit your digitally available georeferenced data to the Infrastructure Atlas via the Infrastructure Atlas portal page (ISA portal).
The Infrastructure Atlas (ISA) as part of the Gigabit Basic Guide is a central information and planning tool for broadband expansion in Germany. It provides an overview for initial planning stages of broadband expansion projects and is used to prepare specific shared-use claims in the advanced planning process.
The ISA contains the infrastructure data of several 1,000 network operators and makes it available to authorized companies, as well as to the federal, state, district and local governments as part of the broadband expansion process. The geodata, for example the course of fiber optic lines, are mapped on digital maps in the ISA.
As the owner or operator of a public utility network, for example as an energy supplier or telecommunications company, you must provide data for the ISA and update it regularly. This is data on all facilities that can be used to build or expand telecommunications networks. For example:
In addition, you must also provide data to the ISA if you own or operate other physical infrastructure suitable for the deployment of short-range wireless access points.
In addition to the ISA, the ISA+ represents data that you can voluntarily provide. For example, you can voluntarily provide your passive network infrastructure data to the ISA+ for specific preparation of shared use claims, thereby reducing the burden of responding to shared use requests because you can then refer to the Infrastructure Atlas.
- You are the owner or operator
- You have the data on the eligible facilities geo-referenced and in digital form.

If you are involved in a project to expand public utility networks, you can request to see the Infrastructure Atlas (ISA) to obtain information on network infrastructures in an area to prepare for joint use.
As the owner or operator of a public utility network, submit information on planned or ongoing construction work via the Infrastructure Atlas portal (ISA portal) and thus fulfill your obligation to provide information, if any.
