The review of the permanent incapacity of civil servants is carried out at the request of the superior or at the civil servant's own request via the superior.
The application for a review of permanent disability is submitted in writing to the relevant personnel department, which commissions the medical examination office of the relevant district government.
The civil servants are then summoned in writing by the latter for an official medical examination.
If, in his or her opinion, there are indications that the civil servant is permanently unfit for duty, the superior should obtain a certificate from the competent medical examination office regarding the civil servant's permanent incapacity for duty, but at the latest after a consecutive period of sickness-related absences of three months within the last six months.
As a rule, the medical examination takes place within 4-6 weeks of the examination order being issued.
