The degree course in State Social Administration with the qualification "Diplom-Verwaltungswirt/-in (FH)" is characterized by the efficient combination of theoretical training (university studies) and practical training in the statutory pension insurance system.
The course is offered at the University of Applied Sciences for the Civil Service in Bavaria, Department of Social Administration, in Wasserburg am Inn. The practical training takes place at the Bavarian Family and Social Services Centers responsible for the respective regions of Bavaria.
In your future job, you will process and decide on applications for parental allowance, child-raising allowance and advise young families on questions regarding parental leave. They determine the existence of a disability in accordance with the Severely Disabled Persons Act, issue ID cards if necessary and provide information on the associated compensation for disadvantages for severely disabled people.
Another area of activity is the Bavarian Integration Office/Main Welfare Office, which is active in all regional offices of the Bavarian Center. They are available to all people with severe disabilities and all employers as expert contacts for all questions relating to the integration of severely disabled people. They also decide on benefits for victims of violent crimes, people with vaccination injuries and victims of measures contrary to the rule of law in the former GDR and the expulsion areas, as well as war victims and people with military service injuries, and advise on other possible social benefits. The course therefore focuses on the Federal Pension and Soldiers' Pension Act, the Victims' Compensation Act, the Federal Parental Allowance and Parental Leave Act, the State Parental Allowance Act and the Ninth Social Code (Severely Disabled Persons Act).

Recruitment requirements:
The study program first requires the establishment of a civil servant relationship on revocation with a Bavarian employer. This employer then assigns the civil servant to study at the university.
The prerequisite for establishing a civil servant relationship is first of all the passing of a state-wide selection procedure in which all applicants of a year group must participate.
An examination fee will not be charged.
Costs for travel, accommodation etc. cannot be covered.
