The data is updated on an ongoing basis. Older tables, graphics and maps will continue to be kept in the archive on a chapter-by-chapter basis.
The State Office for the Environment carries out the state geological survey by means of its own geological investigations and on the basis of geological investigations by third parties and ensures that the data is made available to the public.
The Bavarian Spatial Information System (RISBY) is a geographic information system with topics relating to state and regional planning. These specialist topics can be combined with other specialist data as well as maps and aerial photographs from the Bavarian Surveying Administration.
