Description
As a master of housekeeping, you are characterized by entrepreneurial thinking and action. You have the tools to take on management functions in housekeeping businesses with different structures.
You work in a customer- and quality-oriented manner and have the necessary skills and knowledge to take on independent work. As a trainer, you will pass on your knowledge and skills to the next generation of professionals.
In Bavaria, the governments are responsible for further training to become a master craftsman or master craftswoman in home economics.

Requirements
In order to be able to take part in the master craftsman examination, an application for admission must be submitted to the responsible government in good time.
You should fulfill the following admission requirements
- Vocational qualification as a housekeeper and 2 years of professional experience or
- 5 years of professional experience with housekeeping management tasks.
Proceedings
To prepare for the master craftsman examination, we recommend attending a master craftsman preparation course or attending the agricultural college in Rosenheim.
The preparatory courses usually take place on a part-time basis and last approximately 750 hours. The courses are run by the home economics associations and the agricultural administration.
