The German language is the most important basis for social, societal and professional integration. School-age children and young people with a migrant background and school-age children and young asylum seekers with good prospects of staying at Bavarian general education schools between the first and tenth grades who, due to significant language deficits, meet the requirements for attending a German support class / a German support course or a transition class (currently: a German class or a measure from DeutschPLUS) can therefore also receive extracurricular homework help with a focus on German support. It supplements the existing state-funded school and extracurricular language support measures if there is a need for further German support and this is confirmed by the school.
The aim of the funding is to support the acquisition of language skills by young people with a migration background and young asylum seekers with good prospects of remaining in Bavaria at general education schools between the first and tenth grades, thus enabling their immediate integration.
In addition to the school and extracurricular measures already funded by the state, extracurricular homework help is provided with a focus on German language support.
The recipient of the grant is the teacher.
The grant is awarded as a per capita lump sum (individual grant) and amounts to EUR 15 per hour per group and increases by EUR 1.50 per participant and hour from the seventh participant onwards.
Funding for extracurricular homework help is provided without legal entitlement within the framework of the available budget funds and is subsidiary to any other benefits.
Applications must be submitted using the forms available from the Government of Middle Franconia. This must be submitted in good time before the start of the planned approval period.
The Government of Middle Franconia is responsible for approval.
The Free State of Bavaria provides grants to support and advise asylum seekers and people with a migration background who are entitled to stay permanently.
The successful integration of people with a migration background or good prospects of staying is supported by the Free State of Bavaria through special integration projects (so-called "special measures"). Particularly innovative projects can be funded for a limited period of time.
