The further development of every employee and "lifelong learning" are the central objectives of further training. Every employee must be given the opportunity for further training in order to provide support in the highly complex, technological world of work.
In the Bavarian administration, the conception and implementation of further training is fundamentally linked to the specific circumstances and needs of the respective departments. In accordance with Art. 66 of the Performance Career Act, further training is subject to the departmental principle. Each department is therefore responsible for determining its own training needs and designing appropriate training programs.
The training measures are regularly carried out by the supreme service authorities and by the authorities or bodies commissioned by them. The training program is announced in the service authorities. Employees have the opportunity to register for individual training courses.
Knowledge is imparted by means of classroom and digital teaching and is supplemented by e-learning via the joint education portal of Bavarian authorities BayLern (see "Further links").
Employees who are interested in a training course offered by the authority (e.g. in-house seminar or event) or by another provider (e.g. the Bavarian School of Administration or the Bavarian Civil Service University) must generally complete a registration form and submit the application to their supervisor and the organizational unit responsible for the training in the authority for approval.
The costs of attending a training event are usually covered by the service authority.
Registration for the training courses is generally only possible up to a certain date. The registration deadlines can be found in the training program.
The online portal "komm weiter in B@yern" offers employees and companies an overview of the wide range of training opportunities in the state. With the help of the further training pilot, you can find individual advice, further training and funding opportunities.
