The Künstlersozialkasse can only pay you the correct subsidy if it knows how much your contributions are for private or voluntary statutory health and long-term care insurance.
As a gainfully self-employed artist or journalist, you are entitled to subsidies from the Künstlersozialkasse (KSK) under certain conditions. The subsidies relate to contributions for your private or voluntary statutory health and long-term care insurance.

The insurance companies determine the amount of the contributions. The KSK needs up-to-date information about your contributions for these insurances. Otherwise, the KSK may calculate the amount of your provisional subsidy incorrectly.
When the KSK makes its final annual calculation of your subsidy, you may be required to make additional payments or claim back. By reporting the current information, you can avoid particularly high reclaims or back payments.

If the contributions to your private or voluntary statutory health or long-term care insurance change, you will receive a corresponding letter from your insurance company.
