Description
Duplicates of vocational training certificates and advanced training certificates can be requested from the local Chamber of Industry and Commerce. When a duplicate is issued, a new original certificate is issued with the note "duplicate". A duplicate is therefore not a second original, but replaces it. A duplicate can be issued in the following cases:
- Case 1: The original has been lost or destroyed.
- Case 2: Your name has changed due to adoption.
- Case 3: Your first name has changed in accordance with the Transsexuals Act (TSG).
However, a duplicate is not issued in the event of a change of name due to marriage/establishment of a civil partnership or renaming in accordance with § 1618 BGB.
