Description
The need for a "species protection assessment" as part of planning procedures arises from the prohibitions in Section 44 (1) and (5) of the Federal Nature Conservation Act. As a working aid for the consideration of these requirements for species protection in road approval procedures, the then Supreme Building Authority in the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, Building and Transport, in coordination with the Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Protection, published the "Notes on the preparation of nature conservation information for the special species protection assessment in road construction - saP" (version as of 01/2015). In August 2018, these were adapted by the Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Building and Transport to the amendment to the Federal Nature Conservation Act of 15/09/2017 in Section 44 (5) BNatSchG (see "Related links").
