Description
In order to achieve a sustainable and high level of IT security throughout the Bavarian administration, the Free State of Bavaria is funding the implementation of an information security management system (ISMS) at local authorities as part of the cyber security initiative in accordance with the funding guideline (see "Legal basis") and within the framework of the general budgetary provisions.
The ISMS is intended to help develop a protection strategy and implement appropriate measures to ensure the availability, confidentiality and integrity of IT systems and data. Funding is provided without legal entitlement within the scope of available budget funds.
In accordance with the funding guidelines, local authorities receive a grant of up to 80 percent of the total costs, up to a maximum of 60,000 euros.
The funding program expires at the end of 2023.
After 31.12.2023, it will no longer be possible to approve funding decisions.
Proceedings
The proof of use must be submitted to the Government of Upper Franconia electronically or by post.
In most cases, No. 6 of your grant notification stipulates that the appropriate use of the grant must be proven by submitting a simple proof of use. In these cases, please submit the following documents (preferably by e-mail to isms-kommune@reg-ofr.bayern.de):
- completed form sample 4 for Art. 44 BayHO,
- tabular invoice overview naming the service provider and auditor; the Excel file provided can be used for this purpose;
- attestation / certificate from an independent body in accordance with No. 6.6.1 of the ISMSR or the "Municipal IT Security" seal as proof of complete implementation,
- if conditions are included in the notification, further evidence.
File templates are available for download in the "Forms" section. It is not necessary to submit invoice documents for the time being. These will be requested on a case-by-case basis.
Deadlines
The funding program ended on 31.12.2023. No more applications can be submitted.
Compliance with the approval period and submission of the proof of use according to the grant notification must be ensured.
