In memory of the outstanding services of former State Parliament President Barbara Stamm, the Minister of State for Family, Labor and Social Affairs honors personalities or associations of persons who have rendered outstanding services to the promotion of Bavarian-Romanian relations with the Barbara Stamm Medal. This was awarded for the first time in 2023.

As a rule, the Barbara Stamm Medal is awarded to up to five individuals or up to five times a maximum of three individuals from the same association of individuals every two years.

The award consists of a medal, a pin and a certificate.

The person or association of persons must have rendered outstanding services to the promotion of Bavarian-Romanian relations.

Suggestions for an award of the Barbara Stamm Medal can be submitted by any citizen to the Bavarian State Ministry for Family Affairs, Labor and Social Affairs, the governments, district offices or municipalities using the form provided (see under "Forms").

The responsible government examines the suggestion and forwards it to the Bavarian State Ministry for Family Affairs, Labor and Social Affairs.
