BayernCloud School (ByCS) brings digital and education together and enriches school life in Bavaria. All Bavarian state, municipal and private schools can register to use it.
BayernCloud School (ByCS) provides all Bavarian schools with centrally available software and educational content. With the help of digital learning tools, the ByCS enriches teaching, learning, communication and collaboration within the school family and reduces the effort required for administration, support and maintenance. The digitally networked ByCS applications can be used by schools throughout Bavaria free of charge, in compliance with data protection regulations and barrier-free, regardless of school type and grade level.

The help and tutorial section of the ByCS website provides users with comprehensive support for all ByCS applications and functions. In addition, personal support can be contacted by e-mail at support@bycs.de or by telephone from Monday to Friday between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm and on Saturdays between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm on 089 95 44 55 44. In addition, the didactically meaningful use of the online offerings is supported by teacher training courses at the academy in Dillingen. Media pedagogical support is provided by the State Institute for School Quality and Educational Research (ISB).
The BayernCloud School service is primarily aimed at all Bavarian schools and other authorized departments.
The individual ByCS applications are activated by the school management.
BayernCloud School (ByCS) is available to all Bavarian state, municipal and private schools to use free of charge. The authorities in the departmental area of the StMUK are also entitled to use it free of charge. Registration of the school for the use of ByCS can only be carried out by the school management.
Schools or departments that have not yet registered with mebis/ByCS can register via the registration form "Registration for the use of BayernCloud School" in the Bavarian school portal of the State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs (see "Online procedure"). If your school does not yet have access to the Bavarian school portal, you will find appropriate assistance under "Further links".
By submitting the completed registration form "Registration for the use of BayernCloud School", you as the school or department head authorize the central specialist administration (ZFA) of the ByCS to process the registration data you have submitted.
After checking the registration data submitted by you, the ZFA will create a separate ByCS client for your school. BayernCloud School Support will send you your access data and information on the next steps by e-mail.
As part of the registration process, you should internally nominate a contact person and at least one deputy at your school or department who will be responsible for ByCS administration. In addition to the mebis coordinators, the system administrators, for example, can also be responsible for ByCS administration.
The ByCS administrators are given access to the ByCS administration and create ByCS user accounts for the people in their department according to their roles and rights.
Completion of a qualification course is a prerequisite for ByCS administration. The future administrators take part in the self-study course "Online certificate course for the technical introduction to mebis". Registration is via the FIBS training portal.
Send the certificates confirming the successful qualification of your new ByCS administrators to ByCS Support. The ZFA will now create the administration accesses in your ByCS clients. ByCS Support will inform you about the successful setup and the next steps.
The educational applications and digital teaching content from mebis - Landesmedienzentrum Bayern are a central part of BayernCloud Schule. All Bavarian state, municipal and private schools can use mebis via BayernCloud School access.
