Confirmation as a game warden may only be refused if the game warden does not hold a valid annual hunting license or if there are concerns about their personal reliability or professional suitability. These grounds for refusal are mandatory.
Professional suitability requires sufficient practical experience and knowledge of the relevant legal provisions.
As a rule, there are no objections to professional suitability if proof is provided of several years of practical experience in managing hunting grounds and of the required knowledge of the tasks and powers of confirmed gamekeepers. As a rule, this knowledge is demonstrated by successfully completing a course geared towards the activities of a game warden. Proof of the required knowledge can also be provided through previous forestry, police or legal training or in another way.
The confirmation of hunting wardens must be applied for at the lower hunting authority.
