Procedure details

The Administrative Atlas of Bavaria contains cartographically prepared information on the location and area of responsibility of (selected) state offices, municipal bodies and other institutions. Contact details and links to the legal bases and information in the BayernPortal can also be accessed.

The maps and other information are available as a display service. With the help of standardized display services (e.g. Web Map Service = WMS), it is possible to easily use and combine spatial data (e.g. maps, aerial photographs, etc.) via the Internet. The content can not only be displayed in the Geoportal Bayern but can also be integrated into so-called geoinformation systems or online map viewers. As a rule, there is a layer for the area of responsibility (area), the service location (location) and for the textual description (text).

The following services can be called up in the Geoportal Bayern, which provide spatial information on the location and area of responsibility for the respective area:

  • public institutions in the area of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration

The information presented in the services (e.g. contact details, areas of responsibility, links) is provided by the editorial system for administrative information in Bavaria and is updated weekly. The representation of the areas of responsibility is based on the geometries of the ATKIS Basis-DLM of the Bavarian Surveying Administration. Currently, only spatial information that can be mapped on the basis of municipal boundaries can be displayed.

Note: After calling up a service in the Geoportal Bayern, other layers or information on other departments/institutions can be selected via the "Geodata services" menu.

    Die Standorte und Zuständigkeitsbereiche von ausgewählten bayerischen Behörden und der kommunalen Gebietskörperschaften können im "BayernAtlas" angezeigt werden. Wählen Sie aus der Liste der Geodatendienste der Bayerischen Staatsregierung den Darstellungsdienst des betreffenden Ministeriums, für die sonstigen Institutionen oder für die Verwaltungsgebiete über "Anzeigen" aus.
