This form can be submitted electronically (e.g. via a secure contact form using your user account with login via the electronic ID function or the ELSTER certificate) or handwritten and signed in paper form to the responsible authority.
If you have completed further veterinary training in a defined veterinary field, sub-field or area after obtaining your veterinary license to practice medicine, you can apply for the award of a specialist veterinarian, sub-field or additional designation. The basis for this is the further training regulations for veterinarians in Bavaria as amended.
The Bavarian State Chamber of Veterinarians checks whether all requirements of the further training regulations have been met and decides on admission to the examination.
The application must be submitted in writing to the Bavarian State Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons.
Fees are charged in accordance with the administrative fee regulations of the Bavarian State Chamber of Veterinarians.
Processing fee: EUR 220.00
Examination fee: EUR 320.00

In order to make use of earlier or facilitating provisions, the transitional periods laid down in the further training regulations must be observed where applicable (see transitional provisions).
The applications are submitted to the further training committee of the Bavarian State Chamber of Veterinarians for consultation. The committee usually meets every six months. Applications must be submitted at least six weeks before the date of the meeting. Applicants are usually informed of the outcome within two to three weeks of the meeting date.
You can apply for recognition of a continuing education certificate from the EU or the EEA and the award of the corresponding German designation
You can apply for the recognition of a certificate of further education from a third country and the award of the corresponding German designation.
