The Administration of Justice course combines a modern dual university course with a crisis-proof position in the public sector.
The "Diplom-Rechtspfleger (FH)" degree program provides students with the skills and knowledge required for the work of a Rechtspfleger in the courts and public prosecutor's offices. Graduates should be able to cope with the diverse and demanding tasks of the profession.
The specialist course lasts a total of approx. 20 months and takes place in two sections at the Department of Administration of Justice at the University of Applied Sciences for the Civil Service in Starnberg. The theoretical sections are accompanied by two practical work placements at Bavarian judicial authorities lasting a total of approx. 16 months in order to ensure practical relevance.
This form of dual study program provides an ideal combination: Sound legal knowledge in a wide variety of legal fields and, at the same time, deeper insights into the practical application of the law and the practical work of the Rechtspfleger at courts and public prosecutors' offices. The close link between theory and practice prepares students optimally for their future careers in just three years of training.
Recruitment takes place annually on September 1. You can find more information about the content and course of study, the recruitment authorities and the application process on the website of the Department of Administration of Justice (see "Related links").
Recruitment requirements:
The study program first requires the establishment of a civil servant relationship on revocation with a Bavarian employer. This employer then assigns the civil servant to study at the university.
The prerequisite for establishing a civil servant relationship is, in principle, the passing of a state-wide selection procedure in which all applicants in a year group must participate. Depending on the number of applicants and staffing requirements, the higher regional courts may be able to recruit directly.
Students receive free accommodation in Starnberg during the theoretical part of their studies.
Please note the dates for the selection procedure by the Bavarian State Personnel Committee (see "Further links").
