After successful registration, you will receive a personal electronic UAS operator number, an e-ID. You can also operate several UAS with your operator number. It must be affixed to each UAS.
A drone operator is a person or organization that owns or rents one or more drones. You must take action yourself and register the drone with the LBA.
A drone pilot is the person who flies the drone. This does not have to be the owner of the drone. If your organization has already registered and attached the e-ID to the UAS, you do not need an additional e-ID as a remote pilot.
If you have already been registered by an air sports association and have received your e-ID, no further registration is required.
You are obliged to keep your data stored with the LBA up to date at all times and to report any changes immediately, for example if you move house.

There is no time limit. If you wish to reactivate a UAS operator registration that has already been deleted, no more than 5 years may have passed since you applied for deletion.
