Secondment is understood to mean temporary employment at a different department of the same or a different employer or employer while retaining affiliation to the previous department.
The governments are responsible for the secondment of state teachers at elementary school, secondary schools, special schools and vocational schools (with the exception of vocational secondary schools). The respective state education authority is responsible for secondments to primary and secondary schools within the school district.
Temporary full or partial secondment to another office is governed by Art. 47 and Art. 49 of the Bavarian Civil Service Act (Bayerisches Beamtengesetz) or, in the case of a cross-state secondment, by § 14 of the Civil Service Status Act (Beamtenstatusgesetz) or, in the case of employees covered by collective agreements, by § 4 Para. 1 of the Collective Agreement for the Civil Service of the States (TV-L).
