The Administrative Informatics course combines a modern university of applied sciences degree with a crisis-proof position in the public sector.
The course, which leads to the degree of "Diplom-Verwaltungsinformatiker (FH)", takes into account the need for junior staff in public administration in the field of information and communication technology and aims to secure this in the long term.
The administration-specific course takes place at the Department of General Internal Administration at the Hof University of Applied Sciences for the Civil Service. The IT training, which forms the focus of the course, is carried out in cooperation with Hof University of Applied Sciences. Practical training at the administration's computer centers rounds off the course.
This form of training provides an ideal combination: In-depth knowledge of information technology and administration as well as an overview of the specialist requirements of administration. The close link between theory and practice prepares students optimally for their future career in just three years of training.
Up to 150 places are available each year from September. You can find more information about the content and course of study, the recruitment authorities and the application process on the Internet (see "Related links").
Recruitment requirements:
The course of study first requires the establishment of a civil servant relationship on revocation with a Bavarian employer. This employer then assigns the civil servant to study at the university.
Prospective students must therefore apply to one of the employers listed on the website www.verwaltungsinformatiker.de under "Application". It is permissible to apply to several of the authorities listed there. The employer will then inform you about the further progress of the application procedure and register you for the recruitment test at the Department of General Internal Administration at the Bavarian Civil Service University. Please note the application deadlines listed at www.verwaltungsinformatiker.de.
During the theoretical part of their studies, students receive free accommodation in Hof or the surrounding area.
Please note the dates for the recruitment tests (see "Further links").
The non-technical administrative service course combines a modern university degree with crisis-proof employment in the public sector.
