Successful integration is a key success factor for social cohesion and peaceful coexistence in Bavaria. In addition to the German language and integration into training and work, the teaching of values is a key factor in integration, which is why the Free State of Bavaria promotes the implementation of a wide range of programs in this area.
Purpose
The purpose of the funding is to bring immigrants closer to our values and culture and to make them understand them so that they can find their way better in everyday life and in our society. The teaching of values includes the fundamentals of our legal and value system such as understanding democracy, equal rights and tolerance, strengthening the acceptance of these fundamental values and rules and imparting knowledge about our culture. Intercultural and interreligious encounters and exchanges are intended to strengthen mutual understanding and social coexistence. At the same time, the aim of the funding is to make it easier for new immigrants to settle into society with practical help and to show them opportunities to participate in society.
Object
Funding is provided for the project-related implementation of value education programs. This includes courses, workshops, exchange meetings and further training. The offers should include both knowledge transfer and practical forms of participation.
Recipients of funding
Funding recipients are all legally responsible organizations that have the necessary reliability and capacity to carry out the project and whose previous activities are expected to achieve the funding purpose.
Eligible expenditure
Project-related personnel and material expenses within the scope of the funding purpose are eligible for funding. The amount of personnel expenses eligible for funding is based on the maximum rates for personnel expenses published by the Bavarian Ministry of Finance.
Type and amount
The grant is awarded as partial funding within the framework of project funding up to a maximum of 90% of the eligible expenditure. State funding requires a contribution by the grant recipient of at least 10% of the eligible project expenditure.
Funding is provided without legal entitlement within the scope of available budget funds.
In addition to observing the above-mentioned requirements and the information on the procedure, the further requirements can be found in detail in the "Funding guidelines for value projects" (see "Legal basis").
The application must first be submitted to the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration (StMI) together with a meaningful project concept and an expenditure and financing plan.
Once the project concept has been approved by the StMI, the application must then be submitted to the Government of Middle Franconia.
For further details on the application process, please refer to the applicable funding guidelines (see "Legal basis").
The Government of Middle Franconia is responsible for approval. The approval period is generally from January 1 to December 31.
none
Applications should generally be submitted two months before the start of the project.
Funding does not apply if other funds from the Free State of Bavaria are used for the eligible expenditure incurred. Complementary funding with funds from local authorities, the federal government or the European Union is possible.
