"The government" - for many young people and adults alike, this term, which is often perceived as very abstract, is probably not very concrete. The "Government as a place of learning" project has therefore set itself the task of making the government better known as a central authority and presenting its tasks, its structure and the work of government employees to a broad public.
To this end, the tasks, structure and work of government employees are to be presented to pupils of different school types and age groups in an appropriate and understandable way.
The class should decide on a main topic together with the teachers. The content of the information day is prepared at the schools; the curriculum guidelines for the respective type of school are a binding guideline.
The responsible government employees will then explain their tasks and answer questions from the pupils. The respective departments will endeavor to establish regional references for the desired topics.
Participation from year 9 is possible for classes from the following school types:
Preparation of the visiting class for the chosen presentation topic and for the government as a central authority is a prerequisite for participation.
Timely registration is required.
The participating school is responsible for organizing the journey.
