The Free State of Bavaria supports participation in the school trial "Pedagogical specialist for primary school childcare".

The "Pedagogical Specialist for Primary School Childcare" school trial will examine the extent to which a new vocational school specialization with its own vocational qualification can contribute to the recruitment of pedagogical specialists in the socio-educational field of work.
The object of the funding is participation in the school trial. The aim of this trial is to examine the extent to which a new vocational school specialization with its own professional qualification can contribute to the recruitment of educational specialists in the socio-educational field of work.
At the end of the school trial in the 2029/2030 school year, the results will be evaluated and the necessity and adequacy of state funding for a new specialist school specialization for this training occupation will be assessed.
Recipients of the grant can be local authorities or special-purpose associations as school providers of municipal specialized schools for primary school childcare as well as private providers of such specialized schools.
In the case of municipal technical schools, eligible costs are the teaching staff costs incurred by the municipal school authority and, in the case of private technical schools, the necessary staff and school costs incurred by the private school authority as a result of participation in the school trial.
The grant is provided as a non-repayable subsidy in the form of fixed-amount funding (project funding).
The amount of the grant for municipal technical schools is the amount of the statutory teaching staff allowance (Art. 16 Para. 1 in conjunction with Art. 18 Para. 1). V. m. Art. 18 para. 1 - 3 Bavarian School Financing Act (BaySchFG))

The calculation of the above-mentioned amounts is based on the circumstances on the reference date of the official school data for the funded school year.
The prerequisites are
Applications must be submitted to the local government using the application forms provided and enclosing a financing plan.
The local government is also the granting authority.
The application for funding must be submitted by November 10 of each year for the following financial year.
The grant is paid out in the form of installments of ¼ of the previous year's amount on 15.02. and 15.05. and a final payment.
For municipal vocational schools, the state grants a subsidy for teaching staff (teaching staff subsidy).
In addition to the statutory benefits, the providers of certain private vocational schools receive an operating subsidy and - indirectly - school fee reimbursement with an additional subsidy (class subsidy) if they waive the charging of additional school fees.
