The Heimatagentur promotes the formation of networks for regional marketing and supports the coordination of existing regional initiatives.
The aim is to increase the use of regional and organic-regional foods, raise their value and strengthen regional value chains.
Ecology and regionality of food are core elements of the Bavarian quality strategy. By 2030, 30% of agricultural land in Bavaria is to be cultivated using organic farming methods. The Bavarian state government has set itself the goal that by 2025, all state canteens in Bavaria should offer at least 50% of their products from regional and organic production. By 2030, municipal and other public bodies are to follow suit with their kindergartens and schools in Bavaria.
The home agencies support the strengthening of regional cycles and the development of regional and organic value chains.
