Further training to become a "Specialist in Golf Course Maintenance - Greenkeeper" with a state examination requires a degree in a "green profession" as a farmer, gardener, forester or winegrower and three years of subsequent professional experience or the master craftsman's examination.
The advanced training course "Golf course maintenance specialist - greenkeeper" teaches the main areas of responsibility of a greenkeeper: Green space construction, green space maintenance, golf course maintenance and course management.
The instructors pass on the necessary knowledge and skills to the participants in theory and, above all, in practice. A 12-week internship is completed between the courses. This gives the future "Golf Course Maintenance Specialist - Greenkeeper" an insight into the organization, preparation and management of golf course operations.
Further information on the training dates and costs can be obtained from the course provider "DEULA Bayern GmbH" in Freising (see "Related links").
