The commencement of operation of an energy supply network requires prior approval.
The commencement of operation of an energy supply network requires the prior approval of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
Energy supply networks are electricity supply networks and gas supply networks across one or more voltage levels or pressure stages with the exception of customer installations within the meaning of Section 3 Nos. 24a and 24b of the Energy Industry Act. Reference is made to Section 3 No. 16 EnWG and the additional regulation on hydrogen networks contained therein. Approval may only be refused if the applicant does not have the personnel, technical and economic capacity and reliability to ensure the long-term operation of the grid in accordance with the provisions of the Energy Industry Act.
Operators of energy supply networks must identify the basic suppliers and notify the competent authority.
If you operate an energy supply network, you must report IT faults to the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) immediately. In order to submit a report, you must name a contact point to the BSI in advance.
