An activity with pathogens is the introduction of pathogens within the meaning of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) into the Federal Republic of Germany, the execution, storage, delivery or working with them.
Which other documents must be submitted together with the notification depends on the type of change (e.g. updated sketch of the location of the rooms in the case of structural changes) and should be agreed with the competent authority in advance if necessary.

An administrative fee is charged to the applicant, taking into account the time and effort involved and the importance of the matter (Kostengesetz - KG). Depending on the individual case, the costs generally range from €5.00 to €160.00; this information is provided as a guide.
