The purpose of providing investment grants is to enable shooting clubs to build and maintain their own shooting ranges, which they need for the direct sporting activities of their members.
New buildings, conversions and extensions to the clubs' sports facilities are supported, as well as the acquisition of a property and general repairs if necessary. The prerequisite is that the facility is required for the direct sports activities of the club members.
Shooting clubs that are members of the Bayerischer Sportschützenbund e. V. (BSSB) or the Oberpfälzer Schützenbund e. V. (OSB) are eligible to apply.
The grants are awarded as project-related subsidies by way of fixed-amount financing.
The funding rate is up to 25 percent of the eligible costs.
An essential prerequisite for funding is the proven need for the planned sports facilities and their use in accordance with the purpose on which the funding is based. All projects are therefore subject to a criteria-based review, which allows a differentiated assessment of the eligibility of the measures applied for by weighting qualitative aspects.
Important and indispensable prerequisites for funding include the sponsorship of the applicant association with regard to all construction measures applied for and, in principle, ownership or a heritable building right to the funded properties. Public procurement law must be observed; for total grants of less than EUR 100,000 (all public funding), the associations are exempt from the strict formal requirements of public procurement law. The generally applicable grant law provisions, such as the approval of a premature start of measures, the minimum own contribution of 10 percent and the criteria for determining the eligible costs, are specified in the sports funding guidelines.
Applications for funding from shooting clubs must be submitted to the responsible government. The governments involve the relevant umbrella organization (BSSB or OSB) and determine the amount of the state subsidy for the construction project after a positive review.
