Purpose
The recruitment of qualified skilled workers is one of the major social and economic challenges of the future. The Free State of Bavaria is therefore providing an incentive with the master craftsman bonus to undertake further vocational training and strengthen one's own qualifications.
Beneficiaries
The master craftsman bonus is awarded to successful graduates of master craftsman examinations or equivalent further training examinations under public law in industrial and commercial professions, in the public service sector, in the agricultural and domestic science professions, in healthcare professions as well as state further training examinations in the above-mentioned fields at technical colleges and technical academies.
Graduates of other disciplines at technical colleges and technical academies in Bavaria with state final examinations as technicians, master craftsmen, interpreters, business administrators, educators, etc. (degrees in the area of responsibility of the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs) receive a master craftsman bonus on the basis of the announcement of the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs of June 12, 2019, Ref. Requirements
