The Bavarian Open Data Portal open.bydata is the central access point to open data - especially administrative data - in Bavaria.
The Bavarian open data portal open.bydata is the central hub for open data in Bavaria. The vision of open.bydata is a better Bavaria through data. To achieve this, the open bydata competence center operates in the following fields of action:
Business and science, as well as interested citizens and administrative staff, have free access to open administrative data via open.bydata. The datasets can be processed, shared and reused.
The individual datasets are described with the help of metadata to enable the datasets to be found quickly. In addition to the title and a description, the data set can be assigned keywords and categories, for example, as well as additional information such as the license for subsequent use or the file format under which the data set is available. The actual data can then be retrieved directly from the portal in the selected format.
The search function can be found in the "Search" tab. You can enter the search term directly in the search field and use the filter options on the left-hand side (e.g. by data format) to narrow down the search. As a search result, you will receive a list of data records containing the search term. After selecting the desired data record, you will receive additional information on the data record and can retrieve the data in the corresponding available data format.
There are also several interfaces that enable automated use. The descriptions and the data itself can be retrieved and evaluated easily, securely and continuously. This is particularly relevant for business and research.
The open bydata competence center offers a wide range of products and services for data providers and users:
The open.bydata portal and the associated services are continuously being developed.
