Examination requirements

The content of the final examination is based on the training framework plan. This training framework plan can be found in the annex to the training regulations. The other examination requirements can be found in §§ 18 and 19 of the Training Regulation for Specialist Practitioners in Agricultural and Domestic Professions (Training Regulation for Specialist Practitioners - FPrAgrHwV).

The final examination is conducted as an extended practical and written examination. Part 1 of the final examination takes place after the basic qualification in the 20th/21st month of training, part 2 of the final examination at the end of the training.

Part 1 of the final examination

The following contents are each tested in writing for 30 minutes:

  • Catering and service,
  • House cleaning and service,
  • Textile cleaning and service,
  • Economic and social studies.

The following content is tested practically in the form of a work sample:

  • Catering and service, 90 minutes,
  • House cleaning and service, 45 minutes,
  • Textile cleaning and service, 45 minutes.

Part 2 of the final examination is written and practical. The written examination lasts 90 minutes. The practical examination takes the form of an operational assignment. It includes the written planning and execution of the task and an examination interview. The practical examination lasts a total of around 180 minutes.

Admission to the final examination must be applied for from the responsible government. The government in whose jurisdiction the training company is located is responsible.

Admission to the final examination (§ 43 BBiG)

Anyone who has completed the training period or whose training period ends no later than two months after the examination date will be admitted to the final examination.

Admission to the final examination in the case of parts that fall apart (§ 44 BBiG)

If the final examination is carried out in two parts that fall at different times, admission is decided separately for each part.

Admission to the first part of the final examination is granted to those who have completed the required training period prescribed in the training regulations and fulfill the requirements of Section 43 (1) numbers 2 and 3 BBiG.

Admission to the second part of the final examination is granted to those who

  • has participated in the first part of the final examination beyond the requirements of § 43 Paragraph 1 BBiG,
  • is exempt from taking the first part of the final examination on the basis of a statutory order pursuant to Section 5 (2) sentence 1 number 2b BBiG or
  • did not take the first part of the final examination for reasons for which he/she is not responsible.
    In this case, the first part of the final examination must be taken together with the second part.

The application must be submitted to the responsible government by the training organization and the trainee using the online procedure provided.
